Ascend ("we", "us") provides personalized AI-powered learning paths. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use ascendpath.app.

• Account data: name, email, password hash, profile preferences.
• Learning data: goals, paths, lesson progress, XP, streaks, quiz results, projects.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We store only customer IDs and subscription status.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device type, and (with your consent) analytics & advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

To deliver and personalize the product, process payments, support you, prevent abuse, and (with consent) measure and improve marketing.

4. Sharing

We share data only with sub-processors needed to run Ascend (hosting, database, AI inference, payments, email). We do not sell personal data.

5. Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your profile, or by emailing support. EU/UK users have rights under GDPR; California users have rights under CCPA/CPRA.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) to measure and improve campaigns. You can change consent anytime by clearing your browser storage.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted via role-based controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
